Ancient Roman Times Issue 10

Famine

A widespread famine has resulted in numerous deaths among the Roman population over the past week, with crop yields completely halted. This has led to a significant number of individuals losing their jobs, and has even forced many farmers, restaurants, and businesses to close down. Consequently, this setback will reverse the progress made in the Roman economy, despite the efforts and advancements made under our emperor's rule. Furthermore, this crisis will result in widespread starvation throughout Rome, affecting nearly everyone. Stay tuned for further updates on this situation.

Restaurants Currently Open

Several restaurants have closed down, and now we are informing you about the ones that are still operating. One prominent restaurant chain that has survived is Scipios, known for serving traditional Roman dishes such as pasta and bread. Another long-standing establishment is Castios, which has been offering its signature pasta for numerous years. Lastly, there is Colosseum, an extension of the Colosseum brand, specializing in sports-themed cuisine.

Weather

Although the weather in Rome and its surrounding areas has been generally good, there has been a significant amount of dust circulating in the Mediterranean region. Temperatures have been moderate this week, and there is a forecast of one or two days of rain expected for next week.

Sports

During this week's chariot racing event, Joius Zestus emerged victorious by defeating Jackius Henrius in a closely contested race that extended until the final lap. Henrius lost the game by missing a spear throw. It is worth mentioning that Cooperus Cassiuses did not participate in this game due to injuries.

In this week's gladiatorial showdown, Mikelus Pickentes faced off against his cousin, Mikelus Sydeius. The intensity of the match was palpable, with the Colosseum witnessing explosions every 5 seconds. Neither combatant seemed able to outmatch the other in a prolonged battle that concluded when Mikelus Sydeius fell victim to a fatal sword strike to his heart.
